Daily, thousands upon thousands of Christians are praying and working to make Louisville a better home for themselves, their families, and others. All of us share the common need for peace, quietness, godliness, and dignity. Yet, our passionate efforts to attain this quality of life are frequently under-cut by our separation along ethnic, political, cultural, geographic, economic and doctrinal lines. Louisville Christian Foundation seeks to be a part of changing this by strategically networking individuals, congregations, and organizations around shared interests. This reverses fragmentation and fosters opportunities for integrated work that builds on our diverse strengths. We understand that works alone cannot transform Louisville into a place of peace, quietness, godliness and dignity. Prayer is key. To that end, Louisville Christian Foundation provides an intercession ministry that gathers people of faith and equips them to pray fervently and specifically for each ministry, leader, volunteer, partner and associate with whom we are engaged. Purpose of the Prayer Network To pray intercessions, thanksgivings and petitions for Louisville area churches, ministries and LCF initiatives, as we seek God's will for our community. Our vision is to raise up an 'army' of intercessors willing to follow simple guiding principles of effective prayer communications. Biblical Basis for Prayer Network Being an intercessor is a simple, yet powerful way to transform your community. Isaiah 62: 6-7 “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or or night. You who make make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
